eCME courses now available free-of-charge at PsychiatryMatters.MD
(Oss, The Netherlands): PsychiatryMatters.MD - the essential online psychiatry information resource for physicians - is extending the services it provides subscribers with a series of high quality continuing medical education courses (CME). The on-line professional education courses, which are available free-of-charge, have been developed by some of the world’s foremost experts, and are accredited by the European Accreditation Committee in CNS (EACIC).
PsychiatryMatters.MD provides access to a comprehensive source of constantly updated information, including news, literature and email newsletter services. Registration to the site - www.psychiatrymatters.md - is free to all health care professionals.
The first two eCME courses are developed by Professor Dr Armin Szegedi, MD, Executive Director Clinical Projects Psychiatry, Organon International and are currently showcased at the 18th ECNP congress (22-26 October) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. [1] Others will become available shortly. On completion of each course, a physician can print out a certificate for exchange with their national CME authorities to receive a national certificate.
Professor Dr Pierre Blier, Institute of Mental Health Research, University of Ottawa, Canada, who is currently developing the third and fourth course, commented: “On-line courses greatly increase the convenience of continuing education and help clinicians stay abreast of latest developments. These new courses further enhance the value of this unrivalled site.”
PsychiatryMatters.MD is supported by an educational grant from Organon, manufacturer of Remeron SolTab®, and its content is independently managed by the Current Medicine Group Ltd and GlobalNews Media.
Emile van Dongen, Executive Vice President Global Sales, Organon International added: “As an innovative company active and committed to the field of CNS, Organon takes its educational responsibilities very seriously. Our support for these new instructive and informative eCME courses exemplifies that commitment. Feedback to date shows that clinicians highly appreciate the courses that allow them to keep up to date with latest developments while meeting their educational requirements at their personal convenience. We are delighted to be supporting this initiative.”
